Eligibility at a Glance
JobSeeker applies to individuals between the ages of 22- Age Pension age and are unemployed or underemployed and who have passed residency and income and assets tests and fulfill mutual requirements (such as job search and reporting). October Payment Timing
The increased rates are effective between 20 September and are reflected by ordinary fortnightly instalment made by each individual according to his or her current payday cycle in Centrelink/myGov; there is no need to take any action other than normal reporting. Q1: Will everyone get the extra $12.50?
There are only singles with no children at the maximum base rate whose rate would increase by the full amount of $12.50; other groups would have different amounts that would be increased by those amounts.
Q2: Does a separate claim have to be made in regard to the increase?
